Edward Schatz is a Senior Advisor within Capstone Headwaters' Financial Advisory Services (FAS) Group. Ed brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in finance, operations, and accounting management.
With industry experience in retail, restaurant, manufacturing, high-tech, distribution, and transportation, Edward has been instrumental in the turnaround and restructuring of a wide range of middle market companies with revenue ranging from $30 million to $300 million. In addition to turnarounds and restructurings, he has significant experience in the area of out of court wind downs, liquidations, bankruptcy and divestitures of distressed businesses as well as buy and sell side advisory services. Edward’s hard work, tenacity, and ability to work with all constituents on each engagement has earned him respect in the industry and lead to trusted roles within organizations including CEO, CFO, CRO, court approved bankruptcy advisor and board member.
Prior to joining Capstone Headwaters, Edward spent 15 years as a senior managing director at another Boston based turnaround firm. Additionally, he has worked for Deloitte & Touche as an auditor in the middle marker practice, and PricewaterhouseCoopers as a transaction services advisor providing financial due diligence services to strategic and financial buyers throughout the country.
